Cemil İpekçi was born in Istanbul in 1948. He graduated from the Department of Design at the Royal Academy of Art in London in 1971. He worked as a stylist between 1972 and 1975. In 1975, İpekçi founded his own fashion house and introduced his collections, which were designed and created by himself, in the boutique “Tzagane”. He opened his second boutique “Tzagane” in Nice in 1979 and managed it until 1984. Since 1984, he has created Haute Couture under the concept of Anatolian Civilization. He searches our history and you can see many signs about our culture at his designs. I don't mean only patterns ,he also uses Turkish special fabrics,handmade fabrics and organic paints. As of today, İpekçi continues to work on Turkish fashion, which is inspired by Ottoman cultural heritage. He improves himself everyday and u can watch this on media. He has also colourful personaility.He is well know in Turkiye.If u ask someone about Turkish designer,one most of them will tell his name firstly.
